Fundamentals of Sleep Medicine Online at University of Sydney

After 34 years, the Fundamentals of Sleep Medicine course from University of Sydney is going online.

Pre-Covid, this was a 5 day in-person course. This year, we are offering a fully online flexible course.  You will spend about 5-8 hours per week, over 6 weeks, working through 7 modules related to sleep medicine.  Each module has required reading, several lectures, and a quiz to complete. You can complete the readings and lectures at any time, so this can fit around your normal schedule. The presentations will be a mix of pre-recorded lectures, live lectures via zoom (held in the early evening, recorded for viewing later), and panel discussions/Q&A sessions via zoom (held on a Friday evening, recorded for viewing later).

Your hosts for the course are Prof Colin Sullivan and Dr Kerri Melehan, with lectures provided by 18 highly experienced sleep professionals, most of whom have been teaching sleep medicine for many years.

This course is suitable for those just starting in sleep medicine, or who have been working in sleep for a while but without any formal training.  Attendees typically include sleep scientists/physiologists, physicians, physiotherapists, CPAP therapists, industry personnel, dentists and anyone working in a field which includes working with patients with sleep disorders.
