The Australian and New Zealand Sleep Science Association is an organisation representing professionals working in the fields of sleep medicine or sleep research.
Most of our members reside in either Australia and New Zealand, with some members working abroad.
The objective overall and aim of the Association as a professional society is to:
Serve as a professional representative body
Encourage and facilitate communication among individuals working in the fields of sleep medicine and sleep research and other interested parties
Promote and continually develop best practice and optimal minimum standards of practice and patient care
Play a key role in the field's development, in collaboration with other relevant bodies.
To provide Sleep Technologists, Sleep Scientists and individuals in the field of Sleep Medicine/Research with the resources which ensure the safe, accurate diagnosis and treatment of sleep disorders.
It is the vision of the Association that Australia and New Zealand Sleep Science Association will be the primary professional resource for all Sleep Technologists and Sleep Scientists within the Australasian region.
The values of the Association consists of:
Improving the quality of care provided by ANZSSA members.
Conducting duties in an ethical and accountable manner.
Increasing the standing of Sleep Technology as a health profession.
